All of our parts are engineered to exacting aviation industry standards and each part is an exact reproduction that is designed to fit. Our parts will work with original hardware and mount up to original mounting points on steel cars. Our composite hood can use the original brackets that came with the '57 but the springs must be changed out. Because our composite hood is less than half the weight of an original hood the heavy original '57 springs work a-little too well. The hood flies up way to fast so we suggest changing out the original springs with smaller aftermakrket springs that can be purchased at any auto parts store. The torsion bar for the trunk is designed for a trunk that is twice the weight so we recommened removing the torsion bar and installing our gas shock to hold the trunk open. All of our trunks come with the gas shock and bracketry for easy installation. Our inner fenders are crafted using fire retardent resin which makes them perfect for race applications and daily drivers. Our outer fenders and doors are exact matches for originals only they will not dent or rust which makes them great fro daily drivers.
